Event

Do you live in Kilcormac, Cloontuskert or Lanesborough and have a connection to the peatlands or Bord na Mona housing? Are you interested in the future of your community? You are invited to a community gathering and workshop in Kilcormac, Co. Offaly.

It is a part of “Workers’ Villages”, a project by the Irish Architecture Foundation that connects architects with communities directly affected by climate actions, with a particular focus with Bord na Móna villages.

After this, we will get an introduction to the architecture of Frank Gibney in St Cormac’s Park, followed by a visit to see the famous Kilcormac Pieta. After a break for lunch, there will a visioning workshop in the community hall as well as a chance to share some of the unique Workers’ Village culture.
