On November 9th, the IAF will host a Workers’ Villages colloquium, which will bring together academics, architects and community members to think together about the legacy and future story of the Bord na Mona villages. The IAF is inviting submissions for two essays to be included in this colloquium.

The IAF will be hosting an exhibition and series of talks on our Reimagine Workers’ Villages project at the 2022 Ploughing, celebrating the legacy of former Bord na Móna villages designed by architect Frank Gibney.

Our July Reimagine Café provides an opportunity for people to come together to reimagine the future of retail in Clonmel town centre as part of the Clonmel Junction Arts Festival.

The Reimagine Café is a community space for all those involved in placemaking and reimagining their built environment, meeting once a month. The focus of this café is placemaking successes in County Waterford.

In 2019, we worked with the community in Mohill to explore tourism accommodation opportunities.
